Monticello Middle School Principal

Starting July 1, 2020 

Monticello Middle School includes 375 students and 42 faculty and staff members. Application materials will be accepted for all qualified candidates. Correspondence will be treated confidentially. Monticello CUSD #25 is an equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities: The Principal is responsible for the daily activities at the school as well as promoting a vision of overall school and instructional improvement. A focus on curriculum and instruction, student activities, supervision, staff development and building rapport, teacher evaluation, and student management is a must.

Qualifications: The Principal must be a proactive, organized, and open-minded instructional leader who is visible in the school and community, supportive of all academic and student activities, and able to maintain a positive learning environment for students and teachers. The Principal must be a motivator who has strong communication, collaboration, and listening skills and is able to hold students and staff accountable. The use of data to drive decision-making is expected. The Principal should have experience with middle school students, curriculum, and activities. 

Salary and Benefits: Salary range at $90,000 - $95,000 is based on experience and will be competitive for the area. Health Insurance and TRS are fully paid. Twelve month contract.

Qualifications: Valid Illinois Secondary Teaching License with Math Endorsement(s) required. Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
